it was fun having this camera. always have it in my pocket. pictures better than my phone camera.

Handy little camera

Takes up little or no space in my crossbody phone bag.

Bargain for hi-res but the usual complications of digital tech

Reasonable price for a hi-res camera, reputable name. But it is really tiny. That could be a good thing. But not recommended for old guys like me who are digitally challenged and think having to read a manual to make a cup of coffee or turn off the damn car radio is way too complicated. I went back to using my phone.

Small lightweight design

Slim lightweight design - need small nimble hands (birthday present for the wife). American made so came with an American charger - and an American plug ! That took me by surprise but luckily I have various adapters from my trips to the USA (in pre-Trump days). Can't figure out how to set the date stamp for the pictures but being American that might confuse the poor thing if I tried to force it to use the UK date system.

Not what it claims to be.

This little camera has a remarkable set of options but its claim to have a 48MP resolution is false. I don't know how they calculate that but it's nowhere near 48MP. I took several pics with it and compared them with the images I get from my Sony a6000 25MP camera and there's no comparison. The Minolta pics are closer to 8MP. I can blow up the Sony pics by several orders of magnitude and there is still considerable detail. Try and do the same with the Minolta and the detail quickly blurs. It's a clever little machine for 100 bucks but you'll be disappointed if you're looking for Hi Def.
